2019-2020

Tyler Tracy #106 and Evan Boggass #126 both were Regional Champions in 3A Mideast!
In State competition, Evan Boggass (126#) went 1-2 (33-15 record) and Tyler Tracy (106#) placed 2nd in the state! Tyler concluded his season finishing 45-1 on the year.
I am very proud of both of them for all their hard work and efforts to be the best they can be! As a team (2 wrestlers qualified) we finished 26th out of 72 teams! Huge thank you to Ms. Harpham for all her work with our guys and coaches Armstrong and Tracy for countless hours of work with our team!- Coach Amy

Northwood High School had our first female wrestler attending the STATE Wrestling Championship. Our freshman, Dream Walker entered the Women's Wrestling State Championship unsure if she wanted to participate...... She ends up PLACING 4th in the state this weekend! I can't tell you how proud I was of her!-Coach Amy

Tyler Tracy from Northwood High School has been named as a recipient of the NCHSAA Performance of the Week award. Each week two athletes in North Carolina High School Athletic Association competition are selected for this award from nominations received from coaches, media, and school administrators. Northwood High school freshman wrestler Tyler Tracy is now 34-0 and Ranked 2nd in the state in 3A.
Tyler beat 4A #8 (29-4) Max Brewster 15-0 and 3A # 7 Jahmez Settles (36-8) 8-3 at the Wildcat Invitational at West Johnston High School.
